Okay seriously...

Soooo I am aware that I have been extremely neglectful and would like to apologize. A lot has been happening in my life and I am desperately trying to make sense of everything and even my life as it stands today. The internship I was excited for didn't fall through, my mother moved to another state and I have too much to do within the next week. Classes end December 2nd and I promise to be more diligent.

Meditation

It takes my young mind to a very good place.

All the stress in my youth is hard to escape.

The mind, my mind, a terrible thing to waste,

Feels free to roam in the jungle like an ape.

Then, sometimes it feels captured as in a zoo.

Nowhere to run or expand outside the bars,

It has to sit still and not think of you.

This quietness brings the memory of scars.

Yet, this thing you have taught me I remember,

I use it each day to get to the next.

Now thoughts of you are turned into ember.

No more thinking “worry,” no more feeling vexed.

This technique is all I need to survive.

It keeps sanity in and me alive.

Weekend

This weekend has been filled with work, homework and of course the boyfriend. It is getting pretty late so I will call it a night. Back to the usual week, goodnight. Will post new poem and story tomorrow. Ttyl!

Life

Sooo my phone did an update and everything looks totally different. I love updates. Btw, I just read Whitman to my boyfriend and now he is trying to remember some old poetry. Lol. Goodnight.

Tired

Sooooo I made a commitment to myself that I would blog everyday. Sooooo here it is. I ran into someone today. I haven't seen them in over a month. I didn't miss them either. I guess you can call it an awkward moment for us both. I honestly didn't even know what to say. Well, this is my post for today. Tomorrow I will make it my business to post a story or something. That long year that took forever to go by

Those many times I could’ve stayed and not left

Your scent still on my clothes and on my skin

I came home and laid thinking, in great depth.

“Thick, naturally arched beautiful brows

The darkest, softest hair I’ve ever seen…”

My fingertips roam his well sculpted face

My body aches for him, a tongue for caffeine.

Now I have him all alone and to myself

The gift of love that awaits just for me

Illuminates a light, shines in high standards
